Filed in News & Events by September 12, 2013

Two of NDSU’s research laboratories will be hosting concurrent Open House sessions on October 1, 2013 from 12:00 – 3:00 pm. Everyone is invited to tour the labs, watch demonstrations of key equipment, and enjoy refreshments.

These facilities are available to scientists for research, data analysis, consultations, and teaching purposes. Both labs were established with funding from the National Institutes of Health and operated by the Center for Protease Research.

Core Biology Facility

The Core Biology Facility, in IACC 316 and IACC 354, was established in 2003. The Core Biology Facility provides state-of-the-art equipment and technical support for molecular biology applications, bioassay development/analysis, and cell biology techniques. The manager is Dr. Tao Wang, who is available for technical training and consultations.

Core Synthesis and Analytical Services Facility

The Core Synthesis and Analytical Services Facility, in Dunbar 156, was established in 2008 to assist with principal investigator’s research by providing synthetic and analytical services. The manager, Dr. Ganesh Bala, will be available for tours and questions, and will also be demonstrating some equipment during the open house.

Stop in at both labs during the open house for more information on how these labs can be helpful for your research!
